What is Catholic Engaged Encounter? A pre-cana marriage preparation weekend to help you and your fiancé prepare for your life together as husband and wife. The weekend retreat consists of a lively process of listening, writing and conversations so you can look at your relationship in a focused, intimate, and faith-centered way. Catholic Engaged Encounter weekends are presented by married couples who give witness to the Church’s core teaching and values on the Sacrament. Our in-person retreat is an alternative program that fulfills the pre-cana requirements of the Archdiocese of New York and other Dioceses.
